HP's Z Workstation series, which encompasses the Z800, Z600 and Z400, incorporates Intel's Xeon processor 5500 series, a new lineup of graphics solutions, built-in HD audio, an option for solid-state drives, and the WattSaver feature that manages power in the "off" state at less than 1W. In the modular interior of the Z line, components slide neatly into place in a cable-less environment for optimal serviceability.
The quad-core Z800, HP's most powerful and expandable workstation, draws on Intel QuickPath Technology to offer the most sophisticated input/output performance in any application scenario. The Z800 may be enhanced with up to 192GB of system memory, up to 7.5TB of internal storage and up to two NVIDIA Quadro FX5800 graphics cards. It also comes with a liquid-cooling option.
Featuring the same brushed aluminum exterior, internal modular design and serviceability as the Z800, the Z600 can accommodate up to eight displays and may be upgraded with up to 24GB of system memory, up to 4.5TB of internal storage and up to two NVIDIA Quadro FX1800 graphics cards.
